Job Description
We are seeking a motivated Technical Trainee to join our team and provide diagnostic and technical services in line with standard operating procedures. The successful candidate will support senior technicians, participate in training programmes, and develop the skills required to build a career in the automotive and technical services industry.
The Technical Trainee will learn to identify and resolve operational problems, deliver accurate diagnostic support, and ensure customer satisfaction while adhering to governance, compliance, and health and safety standards.
Identify and apply known solutions to operational problems; escalate unresolved issues to senior staff.
Deliver on agreed performance targets in line with service level agreements (SLAs).
Report on transactional activities to provide timely and accurate decision-making data.
Ensure all work is executed in compliance with governance and occupational health & safety standards.
Support financial efficiency by performing tasks accurately and preventing unnecessary losses.
Provide reliable support to internal and external customers.
Assist senior technicians and gain practical experience as part of training.
Complete development interventions and training logbook requirements.
Continuously improve technical and diagnostic skills through structured training initiatives.
National Senior Certificate with Pure Mathematics and Physical Science.
Higher Certificates and/or Advanced National (Vocational) Certificate at NQF Level 4.
Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar technical/diagnostic environment.
Valid South African driver’s license (essential).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
