Clover Clayville is currently recruiting for an Artisan Assistant. This role offers an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals to gain practical experience in supporting artisans and performing a variety of semi-skilled maintenance tasks. The successful candidate will be based at our Clayville branch and will contribute to maintaining operational efficiency through hands-on technical support.
Grade 12 or equivalent NQF 4 qualification
Proficiency in Business English (verbal and written)
Ability to travel off-site and undertake occasional overnight stays
Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required
Valid Code 10 motor vehicle driver’s licence
Basic computer literacy (MS Office and related applications)
Experience working with or providing support to senior management teams
Ability to work safely and effectively in confined spaces
Assist artisans with day-to-day maintenance activities
Prepare tools, machinery, and equipment before repairs
Clean, maintain, and safely store equipment after use
Move, position, and transport heavy equipment as directed
Carry out basic civil tasks such as carpentry, bricklaying, painting, and welding
Support with basic office and facilities repairs when needed
Clean and maintain cooling towers and other equipment
Conduct basic inspections and promptly report potential faults or risks
Good communication skills with the ability to follow instructions precisely
A hands-on, practical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
Physical fitness and the ability to handle physically demanding tasks
Commitment to safety standards and company procedures
Flexibility, teamwork, and willingness to learn new skills
