MSC Learnership 2026 Opens Applications for South African Youth

Every year, MSC offers a structured learnership programme designed to equip young South Africans with both theoretical knowledge and practical workplace experience within the maritime and logistics industry.

The programme consists of three learning phases, each lasting 12 months.

Participants will complete the following nationally recognised qualifications:

  • National Certificate in International Trade
  • National Certificate in Freight Forwarding & Customs Compliance
  • Further Education and Training Certificate in Shipping

Throughout the programme, learners gain valuable workplace exposure while studying towards accredited qualifications.


What the Learnership Offers

Successful applicants will receive:

Minimum Requirements

To be considered, applicants must:

  • Have Matric (Grade 12)
  • Achieve a minimum C aggregate, including Mathematics
  • Be computer literate
  • Have good communication skills
  • Be hardworking, reliable and methodical
  • Be younger than 25 years of age
  • Be willing to complete the entire learnership in the region where they are placed (transfers are not permitted)
